Darkest Matter Render Test

Darkest Matter Render Test Once again this is a test and not indicative to what the final movie will look like.

Here's a link to The Darkest Matter's first render test! This is also the first environment that I've modeled for the movie. The art team changed a couple things since I handed it to them but overall all modeling was done by me. It's so exciting seeing things slowly coming together. We're hoping on having the trailer cut and done by Friday the 12th so keep an eye out.

The Darkest Matter Wrap

So filming of "The Darkest Matter" has finished and the workshop is torn down. Now all the post work begins. It was a lot of fun working with everyone, even the kids. It was a great learning experience for me and I'm very grateful that I had the opportunity to work on the camp and teach the kids about CG and SFX. It was a great life changing experience for the kids according to the parents and we're all very sad that it's over. We hope to have a trailer up soon and be completely done with the film Q4.

WIP_Tartarus Control Room

Here's a quick render of the Tartarus Control Room for the film I'm helping out on. Since all the acting is shot on green screen I'm helping to build the environments that the kids will later be comped into.I'll be posting more updates as they come.

Abandoned Psychiatric Ward WIP- UPDATE

Got some more work done on the abandoned scenes and finished up the wheelchair. There's a chance I may go back to it later though. Worked a little more on the room itself also and added some temporary lighting to help get a little more mood going. Still work in progress. Enjoy!

Abandoned Psychiatric Ward WIP

I've been watching a lot of "Ghost Adventures" and the like lately and It got me wanting to make a scary looking location. I'm a few hours in and still have a ways to go. I decided to go for an abandoned psychiatric ward and I thought it would be cool to throw an old antique wheelchair in there as a nod to Silent Hill. Just a reminder that both of these shots are still Work In Progress. Enjoy!

New to this

Right, so I started this blog as an experiment. I'll try to make it look a little nicer and post my work and some other stuff and see how things go.  First off, I've been working on a remake of a level from the old PC game Jurassic Park: Trespasser. I've been working on it for a few hours laying out stuff. I'm going to try to concentrate on one area first to see how it goes then branch out from there. The area I've decided to start on is the immediate area around the church. So far I have the streets, power lines, sidewalks, buildings, walls and terrain laid out. I'm working in the CryEngine Sandbox 2 editor which I think is perfect for a JP game but I still have some things to learn. I'll be using models supplied from Crysis to help speed things along as well as adding my own custom models. This is a the first pic of what I have done so far, It's a bit older that what I've actually done so far though. I'll try to post a newer one soon. Enjoy
